SUMMARY:Follow a Raindrop Session 2: Blue Point Preserve
DESCRIPTION:We are excited for the second stop on our Follow a Raindrop journey – Blue Point Preserve on Scarborough Marsh.\nFollow a Raindrop is a 3-part educational program in collaboration with Friends of Scarborough Marsh intended for children ages 8-12. In this session\, we will investigate the physical properties of water and the biological organisms that depend upon this resource at Blue Point Preserve on Scarborough Marsh. Participants will gain an appreciation for the complexity of Scarborough’s water systems and their impacts on all life. \nWith a combination of informative and hands-on experiences\, participants should expect to get their hands (and the rest of them) wet! We will measure the characteristics of the water and sample the aquatic organisms that live in Scarborough Marsh. Bathing suits\, and well-fitting waterproof shoes or sandals are a must. We also recommend a change of clothes and a towel. \nPlease purchase one ticket for each child that will attend the program. Parents are not required to buy a ticket\, but are asked to attend the program and stay with their child(ren) for the duration of the event. \nIf you are interested in securing scholarship funding\, please email Henry at hgustavson@scarboroughlandtrust.org to learn more.
