SUMMARY:Guided Snowshoeing Tour at Broadturn Farm
DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy snowshoeing with others as you explore the winter landscape of Broadturn Farm. This guided snowshoeing tour offers a chance to get outside and explore the preserve’s snow-covered fields and trails. Led by Stephen “Zam” Zamierowski\, volunteer trail steward\, this relaxed outing is designed as a leisurely walk\, with plenty of time to take in the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful winter views. A brief Snowshoeing 101 will be provided at the beginning of the program\, making this a great opportunity for beginners as well as those with prior experience.\n\nThis free event is open to all ages and will cover approximately 1–2 miles on wide trails with little elevation gain. If participants do not have snowshoes\, SLT has pairs available at our office to loan at no cost. The group will take a break during the outing for lunch. Lunch will be provided and will include PB&J and sun butter & jelly sandwiches on wheat bread\, along with hot cocoa. Participants with dietary restrictions should plan to bring their own lunch or snacks. Participants will meet at the Broadturn Farm parking lot before heading out together.
