SUMMARY:Uncover the Hidden Critters of Silver Brook
DESCRIPTION:Join Maine Master Naturalist Christie Constantine for a hands-on outdoor workshop exploring the fascinating world of aquatic insects and other macroinvertebrates living in Silver Brook. Using dip nets along the river’s edge\, we’ll collect tiny stream creatures and sort them into trays for close observation. \nTogether\, we’ll learn to identify what we find and explore how these small but mighty organisms form the foundation of the brook’s food web\, supporting fish\, birds\, amphibians\, and other wildlife. Because different macroinvertebrates have varying tolerance for pollution\, their presence – or absence – offers valuable clues about water quality and overall stream health. \n  \n \n  \nThis program is co-sponsored with our friends at Scarborough Public Library. \n \n  \nSLT rarely cancels programs but occasionally we must\, especially in bad weather. Please check our website before heading out to a program to ensure it is still being held.

DESCRIPTION:Explore a traditional approach to yoga with this 5-week series. Whether you join for the full series or drop in for a class or two\, this steady practice offers an opportunity to experience yoga in a traditional way. Each session weaves together movement\, meditation\, breathwork\, and deep rest—creating space for something beyond just the physical. \nEach 90-minute session follows a format inspired by the Sivananda lineage\, including breathwork\, sun salutations\, and a purposeful progression of postures.
