An Introduction to Birds and Birding

Led by an experienced birder and ecologist, this course will walk you through identifying birds found in Southern Maine. We will cover the different families of birds, habitats, life histories, binoculars, field guides, and more. In addition, we will discuss several natural history and conservation topics related to the world of birds. This is a two part evening program followed by a Saturday field trip.
