Birds, Plants & Imagination: A Family-Friendly Nature Walk
February 9, 2025 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeRaising children in a world defined by a changing climate can be overwhelming. The uncertainties are real, but so are the possibilities. Knowing people will protect what they love, this walk helps children, and their adults, fall in love with the natural world. On this winter walk, we’ll learn about some of the birds and plants that call Scarborough home. We’ll also tap into our imaginations and build relationships with the alive and wise world that surrounds us.
This walk will be co-led by Nicole Diroff, a United Church of Christ minister and Maine Master Naturalist, and Elliott, her 11 year old son and bird enthusiast. People of all ages are welcome for this intergenerational program.
Please dress for the weather. Snow pants, warm gloves and boots with spikes are encouraged.
