Invasive Removal Work Day
September 10, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
We need your help identifying these species and working to remove them before they spread!
All ages welcome, although children must be accompanied by an adult. Be prepared to walk a short distance, potentially off the maintained trail. We encourage stewardship volunteers to bring their own tools, if they have them, including gloves, loppers, trimmers, shovels, and any Personal Protective Equipment. We recommend wearing long pants, comfortable footwear, and applying bug spray. Remain tick and insect aware.
Need training on invasive identification?
There will be trainings every other Tuesday starting August 9th and ending September 20th at Pleasant Hill Preserve.
Trail work days are scheduled on Saturdays this summer with a rotating location each month.
- July 16th and 30th – Pleasant Hill Preserve.
- August 13th and 27th – Fuller Farm Preserve.
- September 10th and 24th – Blue Point Preserve.
After volunteers have been trained they are encouraged to be autonomous and schedule additional work days for themselves and other volunteers.
There is no need to register but we ask that all participants fill out the Liability and Photo Release Form and Volunteer Form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScPFXO-twK88yEnwbO7IJ59W3LBfepg9GUW6ofrDwAcBNWAXA/viewform
