Sustainable Landscaping and Integrated Pest Management

Gary Fish, State Horticulturist at the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry, will help us explore the wonders of sustainable landscaping.  Gary will lead us to discover how this practice contributes to a healthy environment by conserving water, reducing inputs, and creating wildlife habitat.  Gary will also show us how integrated pest management can be key to sustainable landscaping.  We will learn how to minimize reliance on pesticides by identifying, monitoring, and managing pests with multiple tactics.
