Youth Wildflower Walk
July 11, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
FreeWildflowers come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Learn how to identify them with Kelly Pietrzak! Kelly is a youth outdoor educator, local parent, and SLT volunteer. She will teach you where to find the usual and unusual flowers at Warren Woods Preserve.
Please wear comfortable footwear for walking and bring bug spray. Bring water and a snack if you’d like! Long pants are recommended. If you have binoculars, feel free to bring them along!
Kelly loves to work with children: from coaching youth sports, to leading youth nature hikes, to homeschooling her own two children. She previously ran a nature education business for preschool aged children and has a Master’s in Education teaching mostly middle school math but also at the elementary and college level. She loves to camp, tend her ever expanding gardens, and trail run with the family dog. This is the third year Kelly has led walks for children with Scarborough Land Trust, and her second year serving on SLT’s Communication, Education, and Outreach Committee.
