Summer Education and Communications Specialist
Scarborough, Maine
The Summer Education and Communication Specialist will support the work of the Scarborough Land Trust (SLT). Position duties will include developing, scheduling and conducting environmental and agricultural programs for various age groups, writing articles for SLT publications, supporting the volunteer program, developing communication messages, and representing SLT at events.
The position is paid hourly at a rate of $16.00, with a usual work week of 40 hours. Some weekend and evening work required. This is a temporary position starting in late May or early June and ending in mid to late August. Selected candidate will need a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
The Scarborough Land Trust is a highly respected, nonprofit organization founded in 1977. SLT’s mission is to conserve natural and agricultural land in the Town of Scarborough. The Land Trust owns and manages over seven properties open to the public.
