Contest Rules *

• I acknowledge my consent and compliance with the rules below.

• All photos must be original photographs (not AI or digital art), taken by the entrants at Scarborough Marsh or at a Scarborough Land Trust preserve at any time of the year.
• By entering, participants confirm that their submissions do not infringe upon any trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any person or entity.
• Submissions featuring identifiable individuals must include their consent for use.
• By entering, participants grant Scarborough Land Trust permission to use their photos for promotional purposes without compensation. Attribution will be provided to the photographer in promotional materials where practicable but is not guaranteed.
• Each entrant can submit up to 5 photos. Photos must be in high resolution digital format (jpeg preferred). If submitting images taken with a smartphone, please export with a large or “actual size” format.
• Entries must be submitted via the official contest page on the Scarborough Land Trust website. Photos submitted outside this channel will not be accepted. Each photo submitted must include the applicable photo category, the location, a photo title, and a short description (30 words or less) describing the importance of what is depicted in the image.
• The contest is open for entries from February 17 – March 16, 2025. Late entries will not be accepted.
• Winners will be contacted via the email address provided during submission. If a winner does not acknowledge receipt of the award email within 14 days, the prize may be forfeited.
• SLT retains discretion over all submissions and reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entry.
• Entrants must be at least 13 years of age to enter. Those younger than 13 years of age should enter with their parent or guardian’s name and information.
• SLT staff, board members, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. Broader SLT volunteers are welcome to submit entries.
• The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
