We are so thrilled to announce that we have reached our campaign goal to purchase two adjacent pieces of property in the Pine Point area that will be known as the Blue Point Preserve. We received an outpouring of support from the community with nearly 125 different families and individuals pitching in to make this a reality. We also received significant support from the Friends of Scarborough Marsh as well as Scarborough’s Land Acquisition Reserve Fund.
Plans are underway to close on the land this fall. Following some initial work to improve access, we look forward to inviting the public to enjoy the Blue Point Preserve before winter.
While we reached our initial fundraising goal, donations of all sizes are still very much welcome. New donations will be used for the ongoing care and upkeep of the property into the future.
