Planned Giving

You can leave a legacy for land conservation by including Scarborough Land Trust in your estate plans.

Make a bequest in your will by directing a specific amount or percentage of your estate to SLT, or give the residual after other bequests have been fulfilled. Charitable bequests are fully deductible and can help reduce state and federal estate taxes.  We recommend that you first contact your legal or financial advisor to determine the best way to make your gift.

When you include SLT in your estate, you will become a member of our Owascoag Society that pays tribute to Scarborough’s original name, which means “land of many grasses.”

We’re happy to work with you and your advisor to help meet your gift planning goals. Please contact our Executive Director, Andrew Mackie, at (207) 289-1199 or by email.
