Eddie Woodin has been an advocate for conservation and community for decades. He is involved with organizations such as Maine Audubon, Center for Wildlife, Scarborough’s Project Grace, Scarborough Garden Club, Scarborough Public Library, and many other nonprofits in the Greater Portland area.
Eddie has donated supplies, money, and time to the land trust. On it’s 40th anniversary he donated 40 signed copies of an Audubon field guide, he has conducted countless birding programs on SLT preserves, and was the very first Broadturn Farm Dinner Lead Sponsor. Every year Eddie welcomes the public to explore his verdant 2-acre property and pesticide-free garden on Grondin Pond.
At the 10th Annual Boradturn Farm Dinner, Scarborough Land Trust honored Eddie Woodin as the Conservationist of the Year. He is the first to receive such an award. To read more about Eddie and his many contributions to conservation, follow the link to the Scarborough Leader article below.
