Description: A native, woodland wildflower with attractive, pinkish, five-petaled flowers. The plant was used to treat a wide variety of alignments in early European settlement of New England.
Height: 1 to 3 feet
Light Requirement: Partial shade to shade
Soil Requirement: Moist, rich soils.
Wildlife Benefit: The seeds are eaten by Mourning Doves, white-tailed deer, and other wildlife.
