An Experiment in Birding: Presentation and Book Signing with Stacey Huth and Noah Gibb

Join us for an engaging presentation by local authors and birding enthusiasts Stacey Huth and Noah Gibb, co-authors of An Experiment in Birding. In 2025, their collaborative birding effort led to a new Maine Big Year record of 332 species identified across the state.
During this fascinating program, Stacey and Noah will share the story behind their record-setting adventure, including how they combined careful planning, scientific thinking, and expert birding skills to achieve their goal. Through stories and readings from their book, attendees will gain insight into the challenges, discoveries, and teamwork that made their journey a success.

About the Auhors:
Stacey Pazar Huth, PhD, is a longtime Southern Maine resident, scientist, and Trustee of Maine Audubon. After a career spanning more than three decades in science and corporate leadership, she rekindled her lifelong passion for birding and enjoys exploring Maine’s diverse habitats.
Noah Gibb is a lifelong Mainer, birding guide, photographer, and owner of Noah’s Birding Tours, LLC. He is well known throughout Maine’s birding community for his keen visual and auditory bird identification skills and deep knowledge of Maine birds.
