Soil: Acidic, moist, rich, well-drained
Wildlife Benefit: Fruit attracts birds and wildlife, provides nutrition to bees
Other: Also called a gum tree or a sour gum. Fall foliage is a stand-out. Oval-shaped. Bark furrows with age and resembles alligator hide.
