The Scarborough Land Trust is hiring a part-time Development Associate to help engage a comprehensive fundraising campaign. Responsible for providing comprehensive support to the capital campaign and special campaign events by working closely with the SLT leadership, the development associate will report to the Director of Development and have the following duties.
- Follow workflows and procedures that support fundraising efforts for the capital campaign and SLT annual fundraising operations.
- Maintain Little Green Light (LGL) donor database with a high degree of accuracy, including campaign donations, pledges, appeals, acknowledgments, solicitors, and assignments
- Ensure that all prospect and donor files are up to date with notes, activities, and follow-up, including pledge commitments, and notify campaign leadership of past due pledges
- Reference the master campaign calendar for task assignments, to track prospects, maintain timelines, and monitor campaign activity
- Generate timely and accurate gift acknowledgments.
- Prepare pledge payment agreements and reminders.
- Maintain timely email correspondence and orderly filing systems
- Plan, execute and implement on-site and remote events in collaboration with SLT staff and leadership.
- Support campaign volunteers, committees and donor interactions, as needed
- Contribute to creating and posting social media content to increase SLT visibility, in consultation with SLT staff.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Schedule and Compensation
- Position is funded June 2026 through December 2027, with the possibility of extension beyond this date depending on budget.
- Average of 15-20 hours of work per week, with flexibility to accommodate the employee’s personal schedule and the flow of campaign events and activities.
- $22-25/hour depending on experience; either a limited-term employee or a 1099 contractor.
