Description
Description: Canadian serviceberry is a multi-branched shrub with numerous upright branches. The flowers are white and appear in the spring with fruit produced later in the season. The foliage turns from yellow to orange-red in the fall. The plant is not particularly drought tolerant. The fruit was used in pies and the bark is a Native American cure for several afflictions, including diarrhea and indigestion.
