Description
Description: Generally, a small deciduous shrub with dark green leaves that change from yellow to red in the fall. Small, bell-shaped flowers go from yellow green to purplish red. The shrub suckers freely, forming thickets.

Light Requirement: Partial shade to shade
Soil Requirement: Dry, rocky and slightly acidic soils
Wildlife Benefit: Attractive to some pollinators, especially bumble bees.
