Description
Description: This eastern, native, perennial wildflower has showy flowers, forming a loose cluster of stems. The flowers are dropping and have red and yellow petals.

Light Requirement: Partial shade to shade
Soil Requirement: Can tolerate a variety of soil conditions, including well-drained, medium loam, sandy loam, sand, and limestone.
Wildlife Benefit: The flowers are attractive to the Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Red columbine is a larval host plant for the columbine duskywing butterfly.
