Description
Description: This native perennial flower is in the daisy family. The plant grows in dense bushy clumps up to three feet high. The flowers have 8 petals around a yellow center. Flowering time is from May to June. The plant is also called Tickseed or Whorled Coreopsis.
Height: 2 to 3 feet
Light Requirement: Sun to partial shade
Soil Requirement: Sandy, rocky and other poor soils. Drought tolerant.
Wildlife Benefit: Used by native pollinators. The seeds are eaten by songbirds.
